In a country like Finland, where the Maharashtrian community is smaller and more geographically dispersed, children have even fewer opportunities for casual Marathi exposure outside the home. There are no large community gatherings every weekend, fewer Maharashtrian families in the immediate neighbourhood, and fewer children to speak Marathi with.
